Job Description

Job Purpose

Manage, Design, co-ordinate and implement the installations of new process control systems within Brewing, Utilities and Packaging. Ensure sustainable integrity and stability of the Control and Automation infrastructure and proactively recommend best practices within the Control and Automation Arena

Support and develop staff. Support the achievement of the Company’s strategic goals and manufacturing goals. Keeping abreast with technology in the control and automation space. Adapt to on-going changes in control and automation software. Increase customer satisfaction

Roles and Responsibilities

Provide process engineering expertise to the line teams

• Assess requirements
• Conduct analysis and provide recommendations
• Support implementation of recommendations

Optimise production processes

• Optimise utilities process outputs
• Support technical projects

Facilitate problem solving and decision making

• Apply problem solving and decision making techniques and principles
• Facilitate team problem solving

Work in teams

• Communicate effectively in teams
• Contribute to self development

Maintain a healthy and safe working environment

• Comply with safety, health and environmental procedures
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards

Qualifications

Min – Higher Diploma  in Electrical engineering / Software

Tertiary qualification: Engineering Degree in Electronic, Electrical,  Mechatronic Engineering or Computer Science

Experience:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with Control and Automation
• Networks and servers
• Microsoft server software
• Manufacturing Execution systems (MES)
• PLC systems
• Manufacturing processes
• S88 batch control standard
• Field instrumentation and networks
• SCADA systems
