Job Description
The successful candidate will report to the Implementation Coordinator Southern BU and dotted line to the Finance Director and will be mainly responsible for the following
BUDGETING
Confirmation of Capex budgets submitted by package owners
Consolidation of approved In-Country Capex Budget as issued by Zone Capex team
Assist in country Capex leads in preparation of business cases, Request for Investment Approval (RIA) and Capex Release Forms (CRF)
COST CONTROL & REPORTING
Ensure budget is by cost discipline before spend can commerce; Check Capex cost sheet against budget
Approval of Capex requisitions in flow centric, ensure all requisitions match cost sheet or relate to planned project milestones
Monitor Capex spend by GL and ensure all costs are allocated to correct jobs
Preparations of monthly Capex Input file for submission to Zone Capex team
Monthly reconciliation of Capex Input File to HFM or Fixed Asset Note (CWIP)
Issue monthly Capex status report to all project leads
Prepare High-Level and detailed cost report for capacity projects
Ensure Capex spend is within budget
Ensure proper descriptions are included on all requisitions and reject vague descriptions
CAPEX JOBS MAINTENANCE
Ensure each project has a job code allocated and that all Capex is spent via a job
Ensure transactions in Capex GL suspense and transit accounts are posted to their correct job codes
Ensure obsolete POs are closed out and cancelled
Alert Zone Capex team on potential overspend & underspend
CAPITALISATION
Ensure documents required for Capitalisation are obtained before project handover
Ensure capitalisation schedule is available at project handover/ commissioning
Assist in preparation of capitalisation schedule required for asset registration
Qualifications
The job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements and possess the following attributes:
Full Grade 12 certificate with 6 credits
Complete accounting qualification i.e. CIMA/ ACCA/ ZICA or Finance and Accounting Degree
ZICA Membership
A Clean Driver’s License
2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in FMCG or beverage industry
Excellent verbal & communication skills
Excellent negotiation skills
Good analytical skills
Strong people skill, trustworthiness and ability to work with diverse people in different roles
Good collaboration skills and ability to work in a matrix environment
Very strong self & time management capability, ability to work independently
Sound command of Excel and PowerPoint platforms
