Job Description

We are looking for a creative technical marketing consultant to join our Cloud and Data Technical Marketing team and assist in the development of technical content for our customers.This is a full-time role, offering great exposure to the latest Microsoft cloud technologies. This is a mid- to senior-level position, and would suit someone with 5-10 years of relevant industry experience with prior experience in managing enterprise software applications and systems infrastructure. Prior technical marketing experience in enterprise software is highly desirable.

This position will leverage Microsoft tools and cloud services in building out demo scenarios and telling stories for our customers. As one of the key deliverables in this role, you will be managing a demo program for our customer, working closely with product marketing managers. You will take their product messaging and positioning statements as guidelines in converting them into technical marketing materials, such as demos and hands-on-labs. You'll have prior knowledge of our customer's technology stack, and quickly gain expertise on their new features. You'll then use your creativity and technical aptitude to develop rich, interactive demo environments to highlight the value propositions of these features. You'll see your efforts feed into other technical programs downstream within the customer's organization, which will be turned into training materials and collateral to be distributed worldwide - and presented at some of the largest industry events. In the meantime, you'll have expanded and enriched your knowledge of industry-leading cloud systems and security technologies. 

  • Based on business requirements that you gather, create compelling demo materials that tell a story about the customer's product, feature, or service
  • Thoroughly understand the technical and business aspects of customers' products and features
  • Write clear, consistent demo scripts with marketing language, technical set-ups, and other documentation to deliver at scale
  • Manage multiple demo environments and handle the logistics of shared resources (including digital assets and physical/virtual demo devices)
  • Quickly identify the best ways to highlight product features and benefits, and offer precise recommendations to limit risks
  • Balance client needs and internal efficiencies while working on multiple projects and adjusting to shifting priorities or requirements
  • Deliver high-quality projects on time and on budget to maintain a happy customer relationship
  • Interact with customers, project managers, quality assurance resources, and other team members to map out strategies, solicit and implement feedback, and present final versions

Within the first three months, we expect you to fully own the technical portion of the estimation process, requirements gathering, demo creation, QA regression, and demo distribution requirements process. Working alongside an Account Manager, you will be advising the customer on how to better tell a story around their products and services.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience managing systems infrastructure, security, and business apps in an enterprise setting
  • Thorough knowledge of Office 365 from an administrative perspective is required. Knowledge of EMS services is highly desirable.
  • Broad knowledge of Azure technologies, including Azure PaaS and IaaS solutions.
  • Technical writing and storytelling aptitude: Experience working with new technologies and understanding technical details with an ability to translate complex features into an effective and compelling story.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop technical marketing collateral (presentation decks, white papers, etc)
  • Exceptional communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation
