Job Description

The Senior Systems Engineer will be our customer interface for the battery pack design. The tasks include analysing customer product requirements and developing system design solutions to be further implemented by Hardware, Software, and Mechanical engineers. Focussing on the overall development of module sub systems with a particular emphasis on thermal and mechanical/simulation and validation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the customer interface for the system design
  • Collection of customer requirements for negotiation and compliance purposes
  • Identify and recommend requirement changes to customer according to the capability of the 24m designs
  • Develop system architecture and behavioral design solutions to the agreed customer requirements
  • Review and approve system test cases to ensure system design coverage
  • Analyze internal test failures to determine root cause and action modifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years of systems design experience in the automotive/aerospace/industrial machine domains 
  • Experience with control /mechatronic systems
  • Experience with EV LV/HV batteries
  • Working knowledge of CAE tools such as ANSYS and Simulink
  • Ability to react to project changes and action quickly
  • Works well in a team environment with willingness to share skills and information and mentor others.
  • Highly motivated and action oriented as demonstrated by accomplishments.
  • Coachable; able to act on management inputs and constructive criticism.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an occasionally high-pressure environment

 Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Work experience in start-up or established company environments.
  • Knowledgeable in designing battery pack systems
  • Ability to work in cost and time sensitive project deadline
  • Experience in taking a process pilot scale, to high volume manufacturing.

Additional Information

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
