Job Description

As a project manager, your key responsibilities are to: 

  • Manage sustaining projects of switch-mode power supply products in request prioritization, work planning, resources acquisition, task delegation, test arrangement and agency appointment, etc.
  • Work with requestors to understand their request background, urgency and potential revenue impacts and then prioritize the requests for engineering processing.
  • Keep requestors updated of engineering progress, status, challenges and get their inputs timely if necessary.
  • Work with production and purchasing to understand production needs and material supply respectively to identify the potential material shortages.
  • Work with sourcing and purchasing to mitigate the identified risks via operation methods before engineering mitigation.
  • Engage to relevant stakeholders for their approvals, answer their enquiries and provide necessary clarifications in ECR/ECO process.
  • Track the change management process and identify the drag and deviating factors and take necessary actions to ensure proper and timely implementations.

Qualifications

  • Degree or above in Electronics/Electrical or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering project management in the electronics product development or sustaining.
  • Competent in engineering execution – Understand common engineering activities and process flows, understand engineer language and able to lead technical conversation.
  • Experienced in ERP/PLM system – Understand material master, product BOM, document management and engineering change management.
  • Good understanding of common engineering terms, concepts and processes in electronics manufacturing such as material resourcing planning, purchasing, inventory management, and engineering change management.
  • Basic understanding of business intelligence and information discovery – able to communicate with data analyst about the information needs and define the requirements for business info presentation.
  • Ability to communicate with other stakeholders about the discoveries and make necessary clarifications to facilitate for their proper actions.
  • English-speaking is necessary, plus either spoken Mandarin & Vietnamese.
  • Experience with Electrical and Mechanical CAD tools, Altium, AutoCAD or SolidWorks is strong plus.
  • Experience with Power Query, Python/VBA, BI tools are strong plus.
  • Familiar with Microsoft 365 - Office tools, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
  • Good with time and work management, strong in critical thinking and analytical skills.
