Job Description

Join the that power our eCommerce platform. In your day-to-day, you will:  

  • Design, develop, and optimize backend services to support hundreds of thousands of online stores and millions of users  
  • Lead the implementation of advanced backend solutions using microservice architectures, addressing high-scale challenges in distributed systems  
  • Collaborate closely with frontend developers and product managers to create seamless, high-performance eCommerce experiences  
  • Leverage AI-powered tools and IDEs to enhance development efficiency and ensure robust code quality  
  • Spearhead architectural discussions, driving continuous improvement for our codebase, DevOps pipelines, and scalability  
  • Solve complex challenges unique to the eCommerce domain, ensuring platform stability and innovation 

     At Wix, we believe our best work happens together. Our work model is fully in person, with 5 days a week from our office. Flexibility remains a core value at Wix and special requests are handled thoughtfully at the team level. 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in backend development, designing and building robust distributed systems at scale  
  • Expertise in server-side technologies like Scala, Node.js, Java, or C#, with a strong grasp of microservices architectures  
  • Proficiency in working with SQL and NoSQL databases, caching systems, messaging systems, and API design (RESTful and GraphQL)  
  • Deep understanding of performance optimization, security, reliability, and cloud-native/DevOps practices  
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively  
  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, Git, monitoring/logging tools, and modern development methodologies
  • AI-first mindset, integrating AI tools into everyday development activities and embracing new ways of working enabled by AI. This includes using AI to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, enhance problem solving, and drive continuous learning and innovation across the team.
