Job Description

The Recruitment Excellence Lead is a strategic leadership role responsible for directing and building a strategic Recruitment Excellence Function. This role bridges the gap between Talent Operations, People functions, and broader business strategy, focusing on scaling talent operations, driving governance, and managing complex vendor relationships.

As the architect of this function, the Lead will define the operational standards that govern how the organisation attracts and hires talent at scale. By centralising expertise and operational rigour, the role ensures that recruitment processes are not only efficient but also resilient and adaptable to changing market conditions. The Lead acts as the connective tissue between high-level People strategy and the day-to-day execution of Talent Acquisition, ensuring that the infrastructure supporting our hiring efforts is world-class.

Impact:

This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, performance, and efficiency of Talent Operations. You will drive operational excellence, ensure data-driven decision-making, and act as a key partner to Talent, People, and Business Leads to support organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Team Direction:

  • Cultivate and expand the Recruitment Excellence team, promoting a standard of high-level performance and persistent refinement.

  • Set the strategic path for team projects to guarantee they support broader business and talent goals.

  • Collaborate within the Talent Strategy leadership cohort to shape and enhance the comprehensive People and Talent roadmap.

Business Partnering:

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to Talent, People, and Business Leads, exerting influence on strategy and fostering alignment among key stakeholders.

  • Streamline communication channels to guarantee the smooth integration of COE operations with organisational priorities.

Operational Oversight & Support:

  • Lead the strategic approach for Customised Reporting across all Talent platforms to provide stakeholders with data-driven, actionable intelligence.

  • Manage the resolution of high-level escalated tickets, guaranteeing efficient and successful outcomes, with a specific focus on supporting the Talent department.

Governance & Performance:

  • Design and implement auditing frameworks for governance and performance to safeguard compliance, uphold quality, and drive operational effectiveness.

  • Direct recruitment capacity planning alongside Talent Acquisition teams, establishing a collaborative operating model across functions and regions to manage peak demand efficiently without compromising quality or requiring excessive resources.

  • Steward relationships with vendors and panels to secure high-tier performance and consistent service delivery.

  • Lead the strategy and execution of Contingent Workforce and RPO management for maximum optimisation.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Professional Experience:

  • Demonstrated success in managing a Centre of Excellence (COE) or a similar operational recruitment leadership function

  • Experience in overseeing RPO, vendor panels, and contingent workforce management.

  • Established history as a business partner and strategic consultant to senior executives.

  • Strong analytical skills, specifically in governance, auditing, and navigating intricate operational challenges.

  • Superior ability to influence stakeholders through effective communication and negotiation.

  • Prior experience in Project Management is considered beneficial.
