JOB TITLE(s):  Director of Partner Marketing

Job Description

This position reports directly to the CMO and is located at our headquarters in Menlo Park, CA/bay area.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading, planning, developing, driving, and executing our client’s global partner marketing strategy. As a leader in the marketing team you will work very closely with sales, product management, technical marketing, and engineering teams as well as our global partners and customers to ensure timely planning and flawless delivery of product marketing initiatives to accomplish sales enablement, campaign, global awareness, demand generation, competitive differentiation, and partner goals. Responsibilities

  • Defining and leading global partner program launches, announcements, and partner marketing campaigns
  • Setting and driving global partner marketing and program strategy, value proposition, messaging, customer benefit, and competitive differentiation
  • Working closely with value added resellers, system integrators, managed service providers and telcos to maximize mutual success
  • Presenting at channel partner executive briefings and speaking at industry partner events
  • Defining, creating, and launching a world-class global partner program
  • Leading the definition, creation and execution of an award winning global partner portal
  • Driving partner sales enablement including partner sales playbooks, partner presentations, and partner tools
  • Collaborating on partner press presentations, generating partner launch presentations, partner press release content, and partner press articles for placement in industry publications
  • Planning, producing, writing, editing and publishing content such as partner website content, partner blog articles, and partner social media content
  • Presenting, speaking, and engaging with press, media, and industry analysts on partner program communications
  • Constructing, producing and writing partner how-to sell guides, partner branding and usage guides, partner portal management and newsletters for partners
  • Creating partner portal strategy and collaborating to create partner slides, partner briefs, partner vertical briefs (i.e., retail, construction, healthcare, manufacturing, etc.), partner solution briefs, partner marketing guides, and partner vertical case studies
  • Leading the creation of partner sales presentations, partner business decision-maker slide decks, partner sales content, partner content and partner presentations
  • Generating partner solution briefs, partner white papers, partner customer reference overviews, case studies, short vignettes, and partner sales funnel targeted content
  • Inventing storyboards, scripts and content for joint customer and partner videos
  • Identifying and implementing unique and differentiated partner messaging, positioning, graphics and content for event banners, signage and posters, slide shows for exhibition events, and corporate brochures
  • Enabling channel partners with presentations, collateral, and digital demand generation content (email copy, web copy, landing page copy)
  • Owning, tracking and managing partner marketing and partner program budgets and expenses to ensure fiscal discipline (including joint marketing development funds)

Qualifications

  • 8 to 10 years of partner marketing experience in high tech
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Powerpoint and Google Suite products required, and familiarity with Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills, especially in a fast-paced cross-functional environment
  • “Roll up sleeves and do what it takes” attitude
  • Strong team player not afraid to present new, creative ideas
