About the Role 

Reporting to the Platform Rights Manager, the Platform Rights Analyst will support the management of WildBrain content on the YouTube platform. This includes ensuring that the content we manage is organized, claimed, and monetized and aligns with our rights and policies. It also involves spotting content publication/monetization issues and troubleshooting accordingly. You will need to housekeep and maintain channels on the YouTube platform. You will also help develop and implement processes to support YouTube rights in core systems and ensure they apply properly on YT.com and in our reporting processes.  

Job Description

  • Coordinate WildBrain YouTube rights across >600 channels and multiple CMSs 
  • Update policies in all WildBrain systems and YT.com upon request 
  • Monitor rights restrictions to ensure they are functioning correctly in YT.com and WildBrain systems 
  • Manage Content ID reference file ingestion workflows 
  • Manually identify and claim user-uploaded content 
  • Troubleshoot Content ID, monetization, and claim issues internally and externally 
  • Support day-to-day workflow-related queries for the Rights Management department 
  • Provide financial and performance reporting as required 
  • Assist to onboard and offboard new channels/brands from YouTube 
  • Work cross-functionally with a multitude of teams on the delivery of business priorities 
  • Support projects within the Platform Right Management team 
  • Option to be trained and take on a wider range of social media systems and collection/data platforms to manage optimal monetization and data organization  

Qualifications

  • Experience in Digital Rights Management using Content Management Systems is essential 
  • Experience in coordinating rights across multiple platforms including YouTube channels and Content Management Systems (CMS’s) is desirable
  • Familiarity with YouTube Policies and Systems
  • Proficiency in using Content Management Systems, ideally YouTube's backend systems for managing Content ID reference files, troubleshooting issues
  • Ability to troubleshoot Content ID, monetization, and claim issues both internally and externally
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Attention to detail & accuracy during identifying and claiming user-uploaded content 
  • Time management skills: Ability to prioritize tasks in fast paced environment
  • Previous Experience in Media or Entertainment Industry, an asset
