About the Role 

WildBrain is building a new technology ecosystem platform with a cloud first approach comprising of several core areas including Data, Reporting tools, Storage, Media asset management, Digital asset management, Rights management, Media transformation/packaging, Media scheduling/publishing and operational finance. We are replacing multiple enterprise systems and workflows within the Content Operations, Finance and Data & Technology departments.

This role will be working closely with TCS, a large consulting company WildBrain has engaged to design, provide custom development, and implement the new ecosystem. The position will manage the project between TCS, multiple WildBrain departments and several independent consultants hired by WildBrain.  We expect the project manager to keep TCS to a high standard on all aspects of their work and manage the schedules, input and output of our internal teams and consultants.

Job Description

  • Provide program management for assigned projects across the following areas:
    • Final Design, Implementation, and rollout of SaaS solutions
    • Final Design and Implementation of Cloud Infrastructure and Tools
    • Large Scale Storage Migration
    • Software and Applications Development
    • Business Analytics and Data Management
    • Development and Implementation of Operational Workflows
    • Specialized AV Workflows and Architecture – Ex. Editing Capabilities
    • Partner/Client Integrations with New Systems
       
  • Program management duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • Using WildBrain’s project management framework and creating additional framework where needed
    • Work closely with the project team, including internal and external stakeholders, to ensure timelines are adhered to and to manage scope creep
    • Manage overall and vendor budget tracking – report regularly to project sponsors
    • Track all consultant hours, payments, and deliverables
    • Provide regular reporting and stakeholder communication
    • Attend internal and external client meetings to recommend solutions and mitigate risk and scope changes
    • Hold regular project team status meetings to ensure all project milestones are on track
    • Maintain all project documentation, in accordance with standard processes and tools
    • Organize update presentations for the Steering Committee
    • Manage all project deliverables from TCS and WildBrain
    • Coordinate with TCS to manage meeting, workshop, and overall project schedules
    • Manage WildBrain Feedback, Action Items and Decision Tracking
    • Hold TCS to a high standard on all documentation
    • Document all day-to-day operation workflows as they are developed
    • Track and manage WildBrain resources to ensure project timelines/workload is within acceptable expectations
    • Facilitate all project meetings

Qualifications

  • Experienced in technology project management, media industry experience advantageous
  • Experience working on technology projects and large SaaS solution implementations
  • Solid grasp of key business and technology disciplines including Strategy, Governance, Business Analysis, Project Management and QA, Dev Ops, SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • PRINCE2 or PMP certification
  • Knowledge of Technical Documentation Best Practices
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Adept at financial planning (forecasting, budgeting and budget control)
  • Highly organised and motivated with high attention to detail & strong time management skills
  • Good team player; able to handle conflict in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with process improvements
  • Proficient in Microsoft O365 products, Jira, Smartsheet, and/or other project management tools
