About the Role 
Peanuts Worldwide is seeking a Business & Legal Affairs Coordinator to join our dedicated team, providing crucial support to our Peanuts Worldwide legal team! Reporting to the Director, Contract Management, this role will play a key part in delivering day-to-day business and legal support to facilitate Peanuts Worldwide's diverse range of activities. These activities include expanding our iconic brand through global licensing, strengthening our digital presence, enhancing location-based entertainment experiences, and engaging in charitable initiatives, all with the goal of staying connected with our fans, reaching new audiences and promoting the Peanuts brand worldwide. This role provides vital support to the legal team, including managing contracts, maintaining filing systems, responding to document requests, and assisting with legal document drafting and administrative tasks.

Job Description

  • Assisting lawyers and contract administrators with contract administration (e.g., arranging for the timely execution and distribution of contracts, assisting with administrative filings with trademark and customs offices worldwide, etc.) 
  • Creating and maintaining well-organized filing systems and reports 
  • Responding to routine requests for documents and forwarding questions to appropriate internal teams  
  • Managing and tracking high-volume agreements, including entering contract information into status reports 
  • Assisting with antipiracy enforcement and using intellectual property protection tools to search and remove infringing products and content 
  • Drafting standard license agreements, amendments, and other legal documents from templates 
  • Other administrative support, including filing, scanning, photocopying, and mailing as needed 

Qualifications

  • Minimum Associate’s degree required
  • Experience in a legal or administrative assistant capacity or experience managing or drafting standard form legal contracts 
  • Paralegal certificate or experience working in the Licensing or Intellectual Property field an asset  
  • Excellent drafting, organizational and time management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple complex, confidential files 
  • Ability to work easily in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with changing priorities, timelines and processes 
  • Strong ability to prioritize workload and problem solve 
  • The ability to be adaptable and provide excellent service to internal clients 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to collaborate 
  • High competency level for computer literacy and agility working with cloud-based software applications such as MS Office, Outlook, Adobe, etc.
