About the Role 

Reporting to the Creative Services Director, the DTR Design Manager will act as central Design Resource for CPLG across Europe, Support DTR, Consumer Products programs and key fashion retail design initiatives across the Territories as a member of the Creative Services Department, you will work on a spectrum of brands from Entertainment to Lifestyle developing trend-led and seasonal products and commercial pitches for a variety of retailers and target markets.

Job Description

Creative

  • Creative development against Commercial Team & Buyer briefs, initiating new speculative creative development. Driving DTR and key fashion retail design initiatives across the Territories.
  • Develop and design product mock-ups, compile line sheets for line reviews, layout creative presentations, and retail pitch decks
  • Create One Sheets/Asset Packs/Toolkits/Pitches adhere to guidelines but in line with market trends.
  • Research and develop seasonal trend-focused garment shapes across all age demos specific to retailers.
  • Manage workflow & Critical paths (on Monday.com) in line with KPI’s

Licensor/ee management

  • Build relationships with retail partners to support and grow the portfolio of brands e.g. Peanuts, WildBrain Brands, Paramount, Hasbro.
  • Onboard new Licensees, DTR, halo partners globally and locally
  • Plan and run ideation sessions to drive interest and innovation
  • Research and develop seasonal trend-focused garment shapes across all age demos specific to retailers.

Asset Generation

  • Collaborate with product creatives and designers to drive up-front trends, overall creative direction and identify future areas of growth within our franchises and across product categories, including preparation of custom design tools and retail pitches to differentiate by category.
  • Monitor competitors, product innovation and market dynamics.
  • Development of internal style guides and external in conjunction with agency and freelance support.

Product Development

  • Reviewing and approving product approval submissions via approvals platforms (e.g. MyMediaBox).
  • Collaborate with the Creative Services Director and Head of PD in developing creative strategies to facilitate future growth.
  • Develop additional sales materials such as collaborations booklets, inspiration & benchmark presentations & look books. 

Qualifications

  • Relevant Creative/Design related qualification.
  • Strong portfolio of work demonstrating layout, typography, communication. 
  • Relevant Consumer Products Apparel experience in licensing.
  • Good knowledge of consumer products categories, with a focus on Fast Fashion/Apparel
  • Ability to Multi-task and prioritize multiple design projects, running simultaneously with varying level.
  • Self-starter and problem solver.
  • Experience in influencing key partners and stakeholders.
  • Able to filter through complex issues, find solutions, gain support and implement change.
  • Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
  • Strong fast-fashion apparel/product design, graphical and visualisation skills.
  • Computer software skills (e.g. MS Office, Photoshop, Illustrator) - Bonus: Blender (3D), Clo 3D
