The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Executive Portfolio Officer to join the Office of General Counsel and provide high-level support to the General Counsel and University Secretary.
This is a varied and influential role for someone who enjoys working at the centre of a complex organisation, balancing executive priorities, governance responsibilities and strategic projects. You will manage and coordinate executive workflows, diaries, travel, correspondence, reporting and communications, while acting as a trusted point of connection between the Office of General Counsel and stakeholders across and beyond the University.
Working closely with senior leaders, professional and academic staff, government agencies and external legal providers, you will help ensure important matters are progressed efficiently, professionally and with appropriate discretion.
Beyond traditional executive support, you will contribute to strategic and operational projects, undertake governance research and support the implementation of new legislation, codes and University requirements. You will also coordinate committee activities, prepare high-quality executive and committee papers, monitor actions and support the management of statutory notices and information requests.
This is an opportunity to bring together your executive support, project coordination and stakeholder management skills in a role where sound judgement, organisation and attention to detail make a genuine difference to the effective operation of the University.

- Coordinate strategic and operational projects, keeping priorities, actions and deliverables on track.
- Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Apply sound judgement and discretion when managing confidential information, governance matters and statutory requests.
Please refer to the Position Description for full details.
About You

- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, anticipate requirements and deliver high-quality outcomes within a complex environment.
- Strong written communication skills, with experience preparing and editing executive-level correspondence, reports and committee documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to work effectively with senior leaders and diverse internal and external stakeholders.
