Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Staff Engineer, for DOE (Characterization), is responsible for characterization of next generation Head technology design evaluations in terms of planning, analysis and preparing detailed reports highlighting actual and accurate conclusions. The job requires cross-functional work as you will be working with teams such as planning, process, test and design teams worldwide.

All evaluations will be aligned to both Wafer design roadmap, Back End Technology roadmap and product timeline.

  • Provide comprehensive assessment of DOE evaluation results.
  • Review DOE evaluations request in detail and ensure test data plan is aligned to objective of the evaluation.
  • Qualify all new evaluation test data sets and verify data integrity prior to summary report publication.
  • Provide actual, accurate conclusions of the evaluation.
  • Ensure timely publication of evaluation 1st level reports adhered to the overall cycle time commit by program management (PM) team.
  • Conduct experiments together with process/test/PM/design teams in case of any anomalies in the results.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • At least 5+ years of experience in the HDD industry is preferred. Experience in Electronics or semiconductors will be considered.
