Company Description

WD is building the infrastructure behind the AI-driven data economy.

As AI scales, so does data. Every interaction, every model, every system generates data that must be stored, managed, and made accessible over time. That’s where we come in.

We combine deep engineering expertise with global-scale manufacturing to deliver the storage systems that make AI possible, powering hyperscale data centers, cloud platforms, and enterprise infrastructure worldwide.

This isn’t theoretical work. It’s real systems, at real scale, people solving some of the hardest challenges in technology today.

We’re looking for people who want to build, solve, and operate at that level.

Join us and let’s shape the future of data.

Your hands-on skills and technical expertise will play a critical role in our quality assurance processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform detailed failure analysis on defective materials, components, or products using appropriate analytical tools and techniques to identify root causes and support continuous quality improvement.
  • Interpret results, monitor failure trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams to prevent recurrence and improve product reliability.
  • Follow all laboratory safety protocols and standard operating procedures, maintain accurate documentation and reporting, and ensure proper handover of analysis status and findings between shifts or team members.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Diploma in Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.

PREFERRED

  • Able to manage routine laboratory analysis and urgent/ad-hoc failure cases with minimal supervision, ensuring timely completion of investigations and reports.
  • Capable of working independently to conduct detailed failure investigations while also collaborating effectively with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English to clearly document analysis findings, prepare technical reports, and communicate results and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
  • Candidates with early to mid-level experience are encouraged to apply

SKILL

  • Strong technical and analytical skills in conducting failure investigations, including root cause analysis, use of laboratory and analytical equipment, and understanding of manufacturing processes and defect mechanisms.
  • Effective organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams, maintain accurate documentation and reports, follow laboratory safety and quality standards, and manage multiple cases within deadlines.
