Lacent is a sister company of wehkamp and part of the RFS Holding / Wehkamp Group. We are a financial service provider in Point-of-Sale financing solutions such as post-payment and payment on credit. Until 2018, all services were offered exclusively within the Wehkamp Group to consumers who shop at Wehkamp. In 2019, Lacent started offering its services to other retailers, with BCC as the first new customer since February of this year.

As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for the creation of new financial products within Lacent that meet customer requirements and is a result of collaboration between cross-functional teams.

What will you be doing on a day-to-day basis?

• Define priorities for new features and improvements
• Ability to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team and communicate with the wider product team sharing knowledge and insights
• Responsible for your product roadmap, product backlog and sprints
• Working closely with the Head of Financial Products and key stakeholders throughout the organization and beyond;
• Report and communicate different messages to different people about the project at any given time;
• Collaboratively working with technical teams and wider business teams

We are looking for someone who can think strategically, act commercially, deliver operational excellence and obtain results quickly. Someone who is working from a win-win mindset with colleagues and partners and who invests in the people development of the teams.

You have:

• Experience in leading the creation of a product covering vision, strategy, user research, competitor analysis, implementation and validation
• B2B2C experience ideally working on a consumer facing platform
• Experience in understanding customer requirements and the SCRUM product development process
• 2+ years experience in a Product Owner or Scrum Master role (working on a digital platform or for a tech or software company)
• Ecommerce or Fintech experience would be a benefit!
• Solid understanding of users, consumer finance, the competition and of future trends
• Worked within agile environments following agile development methods such as SCRUM

Successful character description would be: passionate, driven, eager to score, devoted and energetic. Great communication skills, fluent in Dutch and English, able to win people’s commitment and buy-in, translator between the technical and non-technical teams. Furthermore detail oriented, organized and a self-starter
