Job Description
Electronic Assembler III performs a wide variety of mechanical assembly operations. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in assembling cables, soldering, bonding, testing, troubleshooting and manufacturing of transducers. Has a vast knowledge of the various build processes within the department. Demonstrates advanced Sensor manufacturing skills. Efficiently completes daily tasks according to the standard times without sacrificing the quality of the product. General knowledge of the MRP system
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble components into medical devices in accordance with approved manufacturing procedures.
- Assembly may be in clean rooms and involve assembly of miniature components under a microscope.
- Perform in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished product.
- Utilize small hand tools calibrated instruments measurement equipment microscopes and custom fixtures tools and assembly aids.
- Work with engineers and technicians to resolve process issues and suggest improvements on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain clean room integrity by using proper attire and adherence to clean room environment practices and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely records/documentation related to quality work in progress test results labor (e.g. timecards) and special projects.
- Strictly adhere to general safety rules manufacturing procedures company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices and FDA regulations.
- Fulfil assembly requests for prototypes against verbal or written instructions as required.
- Train other assemblers on a wide range of tasks.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned.
- Participate in meetings as requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - High School Diploma
- 4 + years related experience; Alternative minimum experience with an aerospace or military contractor or demonstrated proficiency in assigned work.
- Experience with hand soldering and using a microscope.
- Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Experience in operating and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Familiar with the operation of basic computer programs including ability to electronically enter and format data.
- Basic math skills required.
- Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes desired.
- Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read write and comprehend English required.
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings written procedures and verbal instructions.
- Familiarity with lab notebooks and keeping accurate records.
- Ability to work in a team and interact with employees.
- A proven record of consistently following through on commitments. Maintains and communicates realistic schedules and meets or beats deadlines.
- Service oriented approach flexible and proactive towards changing needs. Exceptionally team focused and actively contributes to a positive and innovative work environment.

Other Considerations (travel/hours availability etc.):
Ability to work overtime including evenings and weekends on occasion
Pay Range $18.00 - $24.00 per hour depending on experience plus 5% annual bonus target.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The pay rate for this role is currently $18.00 - $24.00. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
