Who will you be working with?
L&M Radiator, Inc. is a global designer, manufacturer, and distributor or MESABI cooling and heat transfer solutions that are custom-made for heavy equipment in the mining, oil, gas, construction and heavy industrial industries. This role will be collaborating with our internal teams to ensure product build is on track and on target per customer specifications. We want a representative that wants to connect with our customers and grow the possibilities. This position works closely with other members of the sales team, customer service, drafting and engineering. Reporting directly to the North American Sales Manager.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Sales team, you will be responsible for professionally promoting, selling, and increasing market share of MESABI Heat Exchangers within a designated territory. The Sales Representative serves as a trusted advisor to customers in the mining, power generation, and heavy industrial markets by combining technical expertise, strategic account management, strong customer relationships, and disciplined sales execution to drive sustainable growth and deliver measurable customer value.
What do we want to know about you?
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of four (4) years of sales experience within heavy industrial markets such as mining, power generation, oil and gas, construction, heavy equipment, or related industries.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience selling mining, heavy industrial equipment, engineered products, or aftermarket solutions.
- Knowledge of heavy industrial cooling systems and heat exchanger applications – stationary & mobile.
- Experience with CRM and ERP systems, including Epicor or similar platforms.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing environments.
What will your typical day look like?
- Provide weekly updated sales forecasts and detailed travel itineraries to the Sales Manager.
- Submit weekly expense and call reports documenting customer interactions, meeting outcomes, required actions, and opportunity status.
- Submit monthly territory reports detailing sales activities, market developments, competitive intelligence, and key opportunities.
- Participate in monthly sales meetings and teleconferences and report on sales efforts and new business developments.
- Attend trade shows, customer events, and industry functions as directed.
- Maintain regular communication with the Sales Assistant and Sales Manager.
- Interface effectively with Customer Service, Drafting, and Engineering to support sales efforts and resolve customer concerns.
- Deliver on commitments and ensure timely follow-up and responsiveness to customer needs.
- Provide exceptional customer support before, during, and after the sales process.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of heat exchanger products, equipment applications, and customer operating environments.
- Understand customer processes and operational challenges within mining, power generation, and heavy industrial industries.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Drafting, and Customer Service teams to develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Professionally present technical solutions and product value to various levels of customer management and field operations.
- Identify customer challenges and operational needs through consultative sales practices.
- Develop and present value-driven solutions that improve customer performance, reliability, productivity, and operating costs.
- Follow up on all quotations provided by Customer Service and Engineering and communicate current opportunity status.
- Effectively communicate the technical and economic advantages of MESABI products.
- Perform work safely and follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with all company travel, reporting, and business conduct requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required for Entry Level:
- Regular and reliable attendance.

- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and public-speaking skills.
- Technical, mechanical, and industrial knowledge needed to include blueprint reading.
- Establish priorities and complete assignments efficiently with excellent attention to detail.
- Dependability under both supervised and unsupervised conditions.
- Professional phone and email étiquette.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol and background test.
- Ability to travel up to 60% of the time, including occasional weekend and international travel.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to effectively work with cross-functional departments and teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, CRM systems, and electronic communication tools.
- Ability to analyze customer needs and communicate technical solutions effectively.
- Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills.
- Results-driven, competitive, and self-motivated.
- Ability to pass pre-employment DMV, physical, drug, and background screenings.
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
This role is also eligible for a performance bonus.

The salary rate for this role is currently $91100-129800 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com. Other benefit offerings for this role may include annual bonus, if eligible.
