Position: Cloud Architect

Location: Virginia Beach, VA 23455

Duration: 3+ Months Contract To Hire

Description:

Practical Knowledge:

• Knowledge in designing and migrating applications to AWS and Azure
• Knowledge of AWS and Azure terminology, technology stacks, setup, and configurations
• Knowledge of a multitude of programming languages including Python, PHP, Java, Node and Ruby on Rails
• The ability and the knowledge to integrate services and tools to any and all areas to be used like networks and data processing
• The ability and the knowledge to implement security information and event management to keep the company’s assets safe
• The knowledge of how to setup a process to make sure that the requirements of all service-level agreements are met
  

Practical Experience:

• 5+ years of Technology Professional Services background is a MUST
• 5+ years of leading technical teams
• 5+ years of working with Cloud platforms/products/infrastructure, iPaaS, SaaS, IaaS
• 5+ years of understanding of cloud, and distributed systems principles such as load balancing, networks, scaling, in-memory vs. disk, multi-tenancy, Lamda, and containers.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in architecting, designing and building distributed cloud based software systems.
• 3+ years of experience building integrations/services with Web Services (SOAP) and/or REST
• 3+ years of experience with Large Scale/ Big Data methods, such as MapReduce, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Impala, or Storm
  

Must Have:

• Cloud Certificates in AWS and Azure
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
