Validate: A recruiter validates the candidates’ experience and skill sets against our client’s position.
Initial Screening: Based on the position and the client’s work culture, the recruiter uses initial screening questions to determine the most suitable candidates.
Submit: the recruiter will submit to the technical team qualified candidates who have passed the initial screening.
Technical Screening: The technical team then prepares a matrix of the particular requirements and required experience for the position and using a list of questions and the results, re-validates the candidates’ technical skills.
Background Check: Administrative personnel will provide a detailed background check, as required, per client agreement.
On board: On successfully completing the above steps, the candidates are welcomed on board and assisted to ensure a smooth integration at the client’s location.
Job Description
- Coordinates, oversees and/or manages repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians, vendors and contractors performing building maintenance, and janitorial work.
- Knowledgeable in the areas of Mechanical, plumbing, energy management control systems (EMCS) where applicable, and heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment.
- Fire suppression systems, life safety systems and equipment.
- Service request desk operations, to include record keeping using a computerized maintenance management system.
- Administrative functions.
- Minor Structural and Architectural systems requiring skilled carpentry-includes items such as: incidental repairs to doors, walls (i.e. patch and paint less than 400 square feet of wall space), picture hanging, mounting soap/towel dispensers, wall tile repair, etc.
- Budgeting, planning, scheduling, and contracting.
- Facilities construction, renovation, and life cycle maintenance projects.
- Support the Real Estate Team.
- Oversee facilities management for multiple locations.
- Oversee/coordinate all office moves, construction efforts, furniture moves and provision of all office supplies, other change activities.
- Manage custodial and Operations and Maintenance services.
- Responsible for facilities inspection.
- Obtains and reviews price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
- Responsible for invoice processing and accuracy of cost center coding.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Facilities Management with management/technical emphasis. CPM, RPA or CSM designation is preferred. MBA is desirable.
Experience: Eight to 10 years of industry experience required either in the corporate environment, third party service provider or as a consultant with demonstrated ability to exercise proper judgment.
Skills: Person must present strong interpersonal skills and problem solving ability, excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills, a proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service, knowledge of real estate, telecommunications, furniture, accounting and building systems helpful, demonstrated ability to develop successful relationships with and influence customers, both internal and external and strong organizational, management, and supervisory skills. Experience in matrix management organization desirable.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to adequately perform required job functions.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: The job is performed in a campus environment in office, mechanical, and production areas. The facilities group is comprised of members including exempt and non-exempt positions. This position requires extensive contact with internal and external customers in order to effectively perform the job.
