Job Description
Reporting to the Operations Training & Design Lead, the Operational Training Specialist plays a critical role in building the capability of Area Managers and Store Managers to successfully deliver training within our store-led training model. This role focuses on coaching, enabling and supporting field leaders with the tools, standards and confidence needed to deliver effective training and capability development across our retail network.
Position to be based in Adelaide or Melbourne
You will provide:
- Coaching and capability development for Area Managers and Store Managers to effectively deliver training in-store.
- Train-the-trainer expertise, support and guidance across the retail network.
- Development and implementation of tools, resources and frameworks that support training delivery excellence.
- Training governance and quality assurance to ensure consistency and alignment with operational standards.
- Capability support for new store openings, operational initiatives and performance improvement activities.
- Identification of training and capability gaps, with recommendations and solutions to improve outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder partnership across Operations, Compliance & Standards, Communications & Execution and broader business functions.
- Continuous improvement initiatives that enhance training effectiveness and support operational excellence.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in training, learning & development, capability building or operational enablement roles.
- Proven ability to coach and influence leaders across multi-site retail or operational environments.
- Experience developing and implementing train-the-trainer frameworks and capability programs.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
- Excellent facilitation, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyse capability gaps and implement practical solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, qualifications in Learning & Development, Adult Education or related discipline (desirable).
- Experience in retail, convenience, QSR or multi-site operations environments (highly regarded).
