Job Description

The Workplace Technologies team is looking for an experienced AV systems engineer in maintenance, design, and buildouts. We strive to enhance employee experience by modernizing our video conferencing hardware systems for the hybrid world. Essential Functions:

  • This role’s primary function will be to support our US-NE region from our NYC office and help drive our global AV standards. The ideal candidate will be able handle AV solution designs, AV office buildouts, and AV support with reference to our design standards, buildout process, and adherence to global support model. Helping the team improve R&D, systems monitoring, and vendor management will be expected. We seek a candidate that can be a thought leader in AV modernization, standardization, and possesses a deep technical understanding about video conferencing.
  • This role will also be key in representing unified communications (UC), audio-visual (AV) across Corporate IT, in partnership with PMO, Corporate Services, Information Security, and our external suppliers, plus internal stakeholders. We seek someone that is not solely a team player, but demonstrates quality leadership, showcases critical thinking and curiosity while problem solving, contributes to a collective solution-oriented attitude, and maintains foresight of effective communication.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3-4 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • 6 years as an audio-visual engineer for a large corporate enterprise company or AV integration company for corporate clients. Proven L2 and L3 troubleshooting and diagnosis of corporate AV systems, remediating issues quickly, driving new solutions at scale, and mitigation planning for deep rooted and/or systemic problems. Demonstrated ability to interface with third-party AV vendors for escalated service and/or warranty calls. Strong knowledge of modern AV fundamentals, network protocols, and IT administration.
  • AV hardware troubleshooting with QSYS, Extron, Logitech, strong signal flow and workaround planning, root cause analysis, and problem solving skills.
  • Device access and navigating internal settings, installing firmware, and uploading/deciphering any custom programming.
  • Windows OS configuration as it applies to corporate AV systems: imaging/provisioning, accessing and reviewing logs, user proficiency with the Microsoft Suite.
  • AV application administration with MS Teams, MTR, Appspace, and Logitech, can import/export large data, build dashboards, and conduct license allocation, etc.
  • Technical operation for corporate events, system testing for executive meetings, and system readiness reporting.
  • Ticket management with Service Now and, or JIRA with project management and vendor management skills.
  • Process building and efficiency creation, can lead efforts to improve work streams and conduct cross-functional training.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, experience with presentations, reports, and data analysis.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 113,700.00 to 160,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
