Job Description

Visa is a data-driven company from the top down, presenting continuous opportunities for the Data Products and Solutions team to deliver innovative insights and business intelligence (BI) solutions. Our internal business intelligence applications are used globally by all business lines to drive product and business strategies, build customer loyalty, and identify new opportunities/threats for Visa and our partners. We are creating a Single Source of Truth to further strengthen data driven decision making internally and for our clients.

The GBI team is responsible for delivering projects that enable both Visa teams and Visa clients to make informed decision to achieve their business objectives. The team closely collaborates with business stakeholders to understand the business needs to provide a short-term solution to gain business growth for both Visa Inc. and Visa clients.
The GBI team is a center of excellence in Business Intelligence at Visa; this is a high-performing team of data analyst, and business analysts with various cultural backgrounds – serving all geographies including North and South America, Africa, Europe and Asia. GBI team is looking for a staff product manager, a person that adopt new business intelligence skills.

KPIs are:

  • Reduce operating cost: Deliver BI projects on time, and within budget and ensure the projects delivered as per business requirements and executed within set timeliness; Comply with processes that track tasks and also always suggest on improving processes to bring further efficiency.
  • Increase operational performance by broaden GBI’s reach through education and accessibility.
  • Work as a team to build confidence in business decisions that result in new ideas and products for Visa clients and Visa Inc.
  • Contribute insights to increase revenue for Visa globally by aiding in providing information to validate new customer programs and products.

The Staff Product Manager role within Global BI Products will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal customers, stakeholders, and BI platform users to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for enhancement of the current platform.
  • Support team members and stakeholders as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Business Intelligence strategy, best practices, and delivery; use this knowledge to drive a better end user experience
  • Drive innovation of the BI platforms and services; conduct research into current and emerging business intelligence technologies in support of BI needs
  • Develop continuous feedback channels with internal stakeholders; provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer
  • Perform data analysis and research of Visa transaction data to provide reporting and recommendations based on findings
  • Develop self-serve analytics using MicroStrategy, Tableau, PowerBI and similar toolsets
  • Develop and maintain detailed product documentation
  • Develop a strong business and technical understanding of the BI platforms

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• 8 + years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, data management or related experience
• Prior experience with business intelligence in the banking or payments industry with an understanding of payments industry data and metrics is a plus
• Report development experience with tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, PowerBI
• Experience with Big Data technologies, Hadoop, Databases and SQL
• Experience with Product management and business analysis
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills, capable of developing and delivering well-structured communications
• Ability to think in a solutions-oriented view and operate within dynamic business and technical processes
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams to build robust, reliable, and scalable data products
• Experience with Agile (Scrum) project methodology and practices

While we list Arlington, VA as the primary location, this position can be done from another Visa location such as Austin, TX, New York, NY, Denver, CO, Miami, FL, and the Bay Area.
