Job Description

The Business Intelligence Solutions group within the Global Data and Business Intelligence (GDBI) organization works with internal stakeholders to enable faster decision-making, data democratization and self-service through building innovative, scalable best-in-class dashboard and reporting solutions. enable business partners to glean valuable insights from Visa's unique global data assets.

We are looking for an established individual contributor capable of engaging with business owners, data enthusiasts and technology teams.  The clean, intuitive, and beautiful user interfaces you develop will enable business partners to glean valuable insights from Visa's unique global data assets.  You will allow users to gain new insights and tell their own data stories.

Responsibilities

As a dashboard developer, you will leverage design and development standards, processes, and best practices.  You will partner with data engineers and program managers to deliver advanced BI capabilities to a global customer base. 

  • Deliver small to medium complexity dashboard projects either individually or as part of a project team.

  • Use design prototyping rigor and consultative best practices with our stakeholders

  • Develop solutions leveraging agile principles

  • Provide operational production support for the dashboards on Tableau Server.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifictions:

6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

The successful candidate will have at least 4 years of technical experience leading business intelligence or data visualization projects. .
• A strong data visualization portfolio demonstrating how you design to solve customer needs
• Experience with visualization software, preferably Tableau, is required
• Knowledge of interactive data visualization best practices
• Experience leading design discovery meetings with end-users is preferred
• Excellent grasp of the design thinking and the prototyping process
• Experience working in big data environment is a plus
• Experience working in an Agile or fast-paced and dynamic environment is a plus
• Visa experience or knowledge of payments industry is a plus, but not mandatory

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
