Job Description

The Risk Products team at Visa focuses on delivering the fraud detection and prevention solutions that enable every good transaction to be approved, every bad transaction to be declined, all with a seamless customer experience.   We are looking for product leaders that are passionate about innovation and developing solutions that help identify and mitigate financial fraud as well as maximize approvals of legitimate transactions.

This role on the Visa Risk Manager global team, will support our overall product strategy by helping to manage, develop, and deploy product extensions that expands our reach in the payment ecosystem. This individual will contribute to the product vision and delivery, including working with internal and external stakeholders to build out requirements that meet market needs. This role will evaluate and articulate the product value and business proposition and play a highly consultative role to Visa’s client facing teams and regional product teams on the best way for clients to implement and derive value from our products. Visa is looking for an individual with an early track record of success in product delivery, with an attention to detail, and the desire and aptitude to develop their strategic product management skills.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in product development/management
  • Understanding of product development methodologies
  • Analytical, organized, accurate, and detail-oriented with fact-based consultative discipline
  • Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and results driven
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and inspire teams
  • Passionate about what you do and fired up about the opportunity to transform payments working for the industry leader

Additional Information

Essential Functions

  • Assist with the development and execution of long-term strategic product development plans for Visa Risk Manager. Focus on Solutions – Connect people and information across organizations around the globe to leverage the best of Visa’s technologies and expertise to deliver to client expectations. 
  • Lead product-side project management for product initiatives ensuring milestones and objectives are met. Develop and track project schedule.
  • Engage subject matter experts across functions. Interview internal and external stakeholders with probing questions to surface actionable insights.  Assist in defining and mapping out business requirements.
  • Regularly review client landscape, recommending, developing, and implementing new and creative approaches to expanding product capabilities.
  • Gather data, conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis, and apply data-driven business judgment to surface opportunities, prioritize them and design enhancements.
  • Work independently, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional management while supporting syndication with stakeholders across the organization. 
  • Facilitate the sharing of important and relevant business and client information that results in improved decision making and execution. Develop and maintain a central information source to ensure internal and external teams have the access to up-to-date and relevant information.

Work Location

  • Hiring location is in Arlington VA, but other Visa Campus locations may be considered. 

Work Hours

  • Candidate must make themselves available to support clients across global timezones.

Travel Requirements: 

  • This position requires the incumbent to travel for work no more than 10% of the time

Physical Requirements

  • This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
