Job Description

Internal Candidate is in consideration for this role

The candidate will be a leader in Merchant Billing Platform team and will be responsible for

  • Develop and nurture team of development and test engineers by motivating and
         mentoring, and assist in hiring critical talent.
  • Manage development, support, testing and test automation work for Visa’s critical
         MBP.
  • Ensure application system is in compliance with all Visa’s Technical Security
         Requirements and Development Management Methodology requirements
  • Responsible for driving application releases and projects across various teams 
  • Accountable for the quality of test activities during the release of deliverables to
         production environment, system test automation requirements and
         execution 
  • Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality. Measure
         and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time
         and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations
  • Identify and deliver on QA automation opportunities and improve throughput of team
  • Identify and implement opportunities in the platform that will drive improvements in
         performance, scalability, reliability and re-usability.  Continue to
         drive down technical debt and cost of operations/support.   
  • Manage prioritization and delivery of enhancements and bugfixes on platform
  • Build and manage strong relationships with both business partners and technology
         teams
  • Work collaboratively across team boundaries to achieve goals.
  • Organize and prioritize team workload in order to meet delivery deadline
  • Continue to evolve and enhance application systems to maximize performance and meet
         product/business need
  • Manage forecast and schedule to achieve product delivery scope, schedule and cost
  • Manage and track Key Performance Index (KPI) to ensure and maintain high team
         performance
  • Work closely with Operations to maintain high system up time according to agreed SLA
  • Ensure quality, smooth and efficient delivery by applying continuous integration
         and continuous delivery methodology

Qualifications

• 10+ year track record of relevant work experience and a Computer Science or related technical
     discipline is required
• Dynamic leader who has directly managed team of highly competent developers in fast paced work environment
• Working familiarity with the entire software development lifecycle including version control, build
     process, testing, code release and production support
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Must have working experience building high volume and large scale distributed systems.  Billing
     and/or Payments systems experience is a strong plus.
• Demonstrate a wide range of engineering experiences including many of these areas: Oracle technologies (such as ORMB, EBS or Fusion),  SQL, Unix, Talend, Security, Performance Scalability, API management,  Messaging, Java, J2EE, RDMS  system
• Experience in Architecture and delivery of Enterprise scale applications
• Experience in agile methodology and ITIL is preference
• Strong analytical, problem determination and customer relations skills
