Job Description

The bartender will be responsible for creating high-quality beverages, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring all guests are provided with outstanding service. The role demands excellent customer service skills, a deep understanding of mixology, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests according to standard recipes or customer preferences.
  • Create classic cocktails and innovative drinks, keeping up with beverage trends and guest expectations.
  • Garnish beverages with creativity and precision to enhance presentation.
  • Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries, complaints, and requests to ensure a positive experience.
  • Build rapport with guests to encourage repeat visits.
  • Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
  • Wash and polish glassware, bar tools, and equipment regularly.
  • Conduct daily opening and closing duties, ensuring the bar is ready for operation and properly secured after service.
  • Perform regular inventory checks to minimize waste and ensure efficient operations.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper storage of ingredients and cleaning protocols.
  • Promote daily specials, seasonal cocktails, and premium beverages.
  • Suggest pairings or upgrades to enhance the guest experience.
  • Participate in promotional activities, events, and themed nights to attract and engage guests.
  • Coordinate with servers and management to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Assist teammates with tasks during busy periods and share knowledge to foster teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a bartender or mixologist in a high volume.
  • In-depth knowledge of mixology, drink recipes, and bar equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with multitasking capabilities.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems for order processing and payments.
  • Certification in bartending or mixology.
  • Multilingual abilities to communicate effectively with diverse guests.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage pairings.
