This role performs the following activities and capabilities:

• Interact with and advise C-Suite level clients and other key stakeholders, to best define and evidence how data solutions can deliver to deliver business benefit to their organisations.
• Initiate, support, and lead pre-sales discussions with clients and internal stakeholders as needed.
• Lead and contribute to bid responses and proposals as required. Own the relevant bid solution vision and bring together disparate domains to provide a coherent approach and messaging.
• Shaping Data Strategy for medium and large organisations in the Public & Private sector
• Defining standards, principles, and reference architectures for Version 1 data solutions
• Provide High-Level enterprise architectures and data models for Data Platform, Data Lake, Data Fabric, and Data Warehouse solutions
• Work with relevant stakeholders to identify suitable data use cases and elicit business and technology requirements. Use these insights to define and justify suitable business and data technology strategies and solutions.
• Implement Data Governance frameworks that focus on how Version 1 customers can unlock value from their data
• Specification of data integration and data migration approaches
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with technology partners, internal and external business, and technical stakeholders
• Act as an ambassador for all Version 1 stated core and diversity values, Environmental, Sustainability and Governance principles in all engagements.

Things We Desire

We would like to speak to you if you have the following:

• 5+ years’ experience in Data Architect or Consultant roles in a stakeholder, partner, customer and pre-sales facing context with evidenced buy-in and commercial outcomes.
• Exceptional written & verbal communication skills with evidenced experience in working with customers to communicate complex technical subjects in both pre-sales, bid responses, sales, and delivery settings.
• Expertise in shaping Data Solution Strategy & Enterprise Data Architecture solutions for large organisations (public and private sector).
• Experience in implementing Master Data Management & Data Quality solutions and integrating these into enterprise data architectures and solutions.  
• Experience in applying data compliance and data regulatory frameworks to data architectures and solutions.
• Experience of defining data analytics, data reporting and business insight solutions.
• Strong commercial awareness and focus on customer success outcomes.
• A “can-do” professional attitude that seizes the initiative and achieves successful outcomes.
• Experience of delivering insightful and compelling thought leadership

Things We Admire

In addition, we would be very interested to talk to you if you have some of the following:

• Practical in-depth expertise and experience of Architecting and delivering data platform and integration solutions using key cloud vendor technology platforms (Azure, AWS, Oracle, Snowflake, Databricks). Preferentially this includes familiarity with some of the following areas: data warehousing, AI, analytics, machine learning, IoT, Digital Twin.

• Experience designing, planning, and implementing data integration solutions using technologies (Kafka, Databricks – Delta Lake, Snowflake, Azure Integration Services, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, AWS Glue) platforms. 
• Evidenced understanding of the DAMA Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBoK), experience in assessing an organisation’s maturity level against this framework, and developing recommendations & strategy based on this assessment.

• Experience in architecting solutions to support machine learning and artificial intelligence use cases. Experience in applying data compliance and data regulatory frameworks to data architectures and solutions.
• Ability to define and compile compelling data-related Go-To-Market pre-sales propositions.
