Job Description
The Senior Project Manager - Key Initiatives within the Product Management Office (PMO) leads high-visibility, cross-functional initiatives supporting Marketing Solutions. This role drives complex programs spanning Product, Pricing, Finance and FP&A, Commercial, Data, Engineering, Media, Compliance, Procurement, and client-facing teams, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, aligned to business priorities, and executed with operational and financial rigor.
This role combines project leadership, stakeholder management, systems thinking, and financial acumen to coordinate initiatives such as pricing and PWO process improvements, financial planning and forecasting, business case development, vendor onboarding, platform enhancements, compliance-driven programs, new product launches, and operational scaling. As a trusted partner, the Senior Project Manager brings structure, clarity, and momentum to initiatives critical to growth, margin improvement, resiliency, and execution excellence.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Program & Project Leadership (20%)
Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic Marketing Solutions initiatives, from intake and planning through execution and stabilization. Manage scope, timelines, dependencies, budgets, and delivery risk across multiple concurrent initiatives. Apply hybrid delivery approaches appropriate to each initiative and coordinate work across business, finance, product, technology, and operations teams.
Financial Planning, Pricing & Business Operations (15%)
Partner with Pricing, Finance, FP&A, Procurement, Product, and Commercial teams to coordinate pricing, PWO, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives. Support business cases, investment requests, cost-benefit assessments, scenario analysis, and funding recommendations. Track budgets, vendor spend, forecast assumptions, financial risks, and expected outcomes. Coordinate review and approval processes for PWOs, SOWs, vendor engagements, and funding requests. Translate financial information into clear decisions, actions, and executive-ready insights.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Dependency Management (15%)
Act as the central coordination point for initiatives spanning multiple teams, systems, and approval processes. Identify and manage dependencies, risks, handoffs, and sequencing. Proactively surface conflicts, capacity constraints, data gaps, and decision needs. Ensure work enters execution with clear scope, ownership, assumptions, success criteria, and required approvals.
Stakeholder Communication & Executive Visibility (15%)
Serve as a primary point of contact for initiative stakeholders and leadership. Provide concise status reports, milestone tracking, financial and delivery risk assessments, decision logs, and executive readouts. Translate delivery and financial progress into business impact and decision-ready insights. Facilitate working sessions, budget reviews, steering discussions, and leadership checkpoints.
Operational Readiness & Execution Governance (15%)
Establish appropriate operational and financial guardrails, documentation, controls, and readiness criteria. Define go/no-go checkpoints, validation steps, approval paths, and escalation protocols. Maintain RAID and decision logs, drive mitigation actions, and support post-launch stabilization and handoff to steady-state ownership.
Change Management & Adoption Support (10%)
Coordinate rollout, enablement, documentation, and adoption for new processes, capabilities, vendors, platforms, or financial workflows. Partner with impacted teams to ensure changes are understood, adopted, and operationalized. Identify adoption and control risks early and close readiness gaps.
PMO Contribution & Continuous Improvement (10%)
Contribute to PMO standards, templates, and best practices for intake, planning, financial governance, and delivery. Improve repeatable processes for business cases, PWO administration, budget tracking, status reporting, and executive decision support. Mentor partners on delivery discipline, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- PMP, Agile, FP&A, or related certification preferred but not required
Experience
- 10+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional projects or programs
- Proven success delivering initiatives spanning finance, pricing, product, technology, data, commercial, or operations teams
- Experience partnering with Finance, FP&A, Pricing, Procurement, or Business Operations
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, investment prioritization, or financial review processes
- Experience developing or coordinating business cases, cost-benefit analyses, ROI assessments, and executive funding recommendations
- Experience managing vendor-related financial processes, including PWOs, SOWs, contracts, approvals, and budget tracking
- Experience working in marketing, media, data, or technology-enabled services environments
- Comfort operating in fast-paced, evolving environments with competing priorities and shared accountability
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong project and program management capabilities across Agile, hybrid, and waterfall delivery models
- Strong business and financial acumen, including the ability to interpret budgets, forecasts, pricing models, financial assumptions, and investment proposals
- Ability to evaluate financial and operational tradeoffs and connect initiative outcomes to revenue, margin, cost savings, efficiency, or risk reduction
- Working knowledge of variance analysis, scenario planning, value realization, and financial governance
- Advanced Excel skills; experience organizing and analyzing financial and operational data
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive-level reporting and decision support
- Ability to lead without direct authority and drive alignment across diverse functional teams
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, judgment, and follow-through
- Experience managing risks, dependencies, approvals, and cross-team handoffs
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Teams, and Monday.com
- Structured problem solver who can navigate ambiguity and translate high-level goals into executable plans
Additional Information
Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000
Position is eligible for an annual bonus incentive program
