Job Description
Vericast is seeking experienced, high-performing Director of Client Growth to drive profitable revenue growth across an assigned portfolio of banks and credit unions. This is a true hunter role focused on identifying, creating, and closing new Marketing Solutions opportunities within existing Vericast clients that are currently underpenetrated from a Marketing Solutions perspective.
The Director of Client Growth will own a portfolio of approximately 15–20 mid-market financial institutions selected based on growth potential and will serve as the full sales-cycle owner and primary relationship holder for Marketing Solutions. Responsibilities span developing executive-level relationships, uncovering client challenges, building strategic marketing plans, closing new business, and retaining and growing each account after the sale.
The ideal candidate combines consultative selling expertise with deep knowledge of marketing technology, digital media, customer acquisition, retention, analytics, and the broader marketing ecosystem. Agency experience is highly valued. We are specifically looking for sellers who have worked within a marketing, media, or advertising agency environment and understand how brands plan, buy, and measure marketing. Candidates should bring a blend of relevant backgrounds, a proven track record of exceeding sales goals, and a relentless focus on prospecting, opportunity creation, and revenue growth.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Revenue Growth & Business Development - Own and grow an assigned portfolio of banks and credit unions across the full sales cycle. Develop and execute account growth strategies to increase Marketing Solutions revenue and wallet share. Consistently identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within assigned accounts. Build and maintain executive and economic buyer relationships, including CMO, Head of Marketing, Chief Digital Officer, Retail Banking leaders, and other senior decision makers. Develop strategic account plans that align Vericast’s capabilities with client business objectives. Create demand through proactive outreach, networking, and consultative engagement. 35%
- Sales Execution - Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution, onboarding, and ongoing account ownership. Conduct discovery sessions to uncover business challenges, growth priorities, and marketing opportunities. Present Vericast Marketing Solutions offerings in a compelling and consultative manner. Develop business cases and ROI-driven recommendations tailored to client objectives. Accurately forecast pipeline, opportunities, and bookings. 35%
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership - Serve as the quarterback for assigned accounts, retaining the relationship after the sale. Partner with Client Strategy, Product, Analytics, Sales Enablement, Marketing, and other internal teams to develop and deliver client solutions. Coordinate resources throughout the sales process to maximize client value and close rates. Provide voice-of-customer feedback to product and leadership teams. 15%
- Pipeline Management - Maintain a healthy pipeline sufficient to achieve and exceed annual bookings targets. Consistently generate meetings, opportunities, and qualified pipeline to support long-term growth. Utilize CRM and sales technology tools to manage account activity, opportunity progression, and forecasting. 15%
Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Bachelors Degree Preferred
- Masters Degree Preferred
EXPERIENCE
- 7+ years of successful B2B sales experience with a true hunter track record.
- Experience working for a marketing agency, media organization, martech company, adtech company, customer engagement provider, or similar environment.
- Experience selling marketing solutions, digital marketing services, media solutions, marketing technology, or related offerings.
- Experience selling into financial institutions, including banks and credit unions.
- Experience managing strategic account portfolios and growth initiatives.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Strong consultative and solution-selling skills.
- Proven record of meeting or exceeding revenue and bookings targets.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect and create demand within existing or assigned accounts.
- Experience selling to executive and economic buyers.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, customer acquisition, customer retention, personalization, analytics, campaign strategy, customer data platforms, and marketing technology ecosystems.
- Familiarity with marketing measurement, attribution, and ROI frameworks.

- Familiarity with sales enablement and content management platforms (e.g., Highspot, Gong).
- Comfortable working within the Microsoft 365 suite, including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.

Additional Information
Salary Range: $150,000-$250,000

Position is eligible for a sales incentive/commission program.
The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
