Job Description
The Director, Performance Media Strategy leads the activation and optimization of integrated digital media
programs across Vericast's portfolio of financial institution clients. This leader is responsible for translating
client objectives and media strategies into successful omni-channel execution across Paid Social,
Programmatic, Search, and emerging digital channels.
The Director oversees a team of media specialists and serves as the operational and strategic leader
responsible for ensuring campaigns are executed efficiently, optimized proactively, and consistently deliver
measurable business outcomes. The role partners closely with Product, Client Services, Analytics, and
Operations leaders to identify opportunities for innovation, improve performance, and influence future
channel capabilities.
This role operates in an AI-enabled marketing environment. The successful candidate will actively leverage
AI and automation tools to enhance media planning, campaign management, optimization workflows,
reporting, and performance analysis.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Omni-Channel Media Activation and Optimization: Lead execution of omni-channel performance marketing programs across Programmatic, Paid Search, Paid Social, and related digital channels; Ensure campaign strategies are implemented accurately and consistently against client objectives and success metrics; Establish best practices for campaign setup, activation, optimization, pacing, and quality assurance; Drive continuous improvement of performance through audience, creative, bidding, budget allocation, and channel optimization strategies; Monitor campaign delivery and performance to proactively identify risks and opportunities. (40%)
- Team Leadership and Talent Development: Lead, coach, and develop a team of media specialists responsible for day-to-day campaign execution; Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans for team members; Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence; Build scalable processes and workflows that support growth and efficiency across the media organization. (25%)
- Client and Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with Client Services leaders to ensure media strategies align with client business objectives and performance expectations; Collaborate with Product leaders to provide market feedback, campaign insights, and recommendations for channel enhancements; Communicate performance trends, optimization opportunities, and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients when appropriate; Act as the escalation point for complex campaign, platform, or delivery issues. (20%)
- Performance Insights and Business Improvement: Translate campaign results into actionable business insights and recommendations; Identify patterns, trends, and learning opportunities across client portfolios; Partner with Analytics teams to develop measurement frameworks and reporting enhancements; Influence future media strategies by sharing channel performance learnings, market trends, and optimization opportunities. (15%)
Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Communications, or related field required.
EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of digital media, performance marketing, or marketing strategy experience.
- 5+ years managing teams within a digital media, agency, or marketing organization.
- Deep expertise across Programmatic, Paid Search, Paid Social, and multi-channel digital activation.
- Experience managing large-scale media budgets and performance-based marketing programs.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and drive operational excellence.
- Experience presenting strategic recommendations and performance results to senior leadership and clients.
- Financial services or regulated-industry marketing experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Strong understanding of performance marketing KPIs, attribution methodologies, and media measurement.
- Expertise with major digital platforms, DSPs, social advertising platforms, and search ecosystems.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience using AI-enabled tools and technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness in marketing operations.
Additional Information
Salary range: $165,000 - $185,000 Annually
Position is eligible for an annual bonus incentive program
