Job Description

Job Summary

The Assembler will perform a variety of production tasks for three or more product lines - including assembly, working from a Bill of Material, picking material from stock, and testing assemblies. All this work is done according to instructions provided in the form of drawings and QOI's. In this role, you will complete all paperwork assemblies.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical production assembly work of simple complexity and have the ability to work within a fast paced environment.
  • Perform final assembly and determine method of assembly of parts into sub-assemblies, and sub-assemblies into units or systems.
  • Ensure that all related directions and documentation are accurate including review of QOI's, pick lists, quality check lists, and other related documentation.
  • Ensure that all parts and sub-assemblies are correct and to desired specifications.
  • Retrieve material to ensure that stock items are available on the production floor and inform the Production Supervisor of any shortages.
  • Safely power up and test finished assemblies and have sufficient understanding of the items assembled to perform trouble-shooting and rework.
  • Perform necessary paperwork to assure Work Order, Quality Assurance and Labor Tracking requirements are fulfilled.
  • Work from production drawings, final assembly blueprints, and/or verbal and written instructions with minimum supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Regularly perform use of ordinary hand tools, calibrated tools, and analytical instrumentation, as well as chemically aggressive fluids, such as acids and bases. High voltages occur in the instruments under repair (Manual dexterity, reasonable vision, and safety awareness is important).

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • At least 3 years of assembly work experience

Desired

  • Manual dexterity, strong attention to detail
  • Assembly work experience with more than 3 product lines
  • Ability to tighten bolts, move heavy parts/equipment, stand for long periods of time, bending frequently with repetitive movements and tasks

Working Conditions

  • May be exposed to: pinchpoints, excessive noise, elements, chemicals

Compensation: The hourly rate of $20.00 - $24.00 USD is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. This role does not include bonus compensation.
