Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer in Industrialization Project Management (Wire Harness Assembly) to join our Industrial Engineering team in Sri Lanka. This role will lead New Product Implementations (NPI), ensuring smooth industrialization from prototype to series production, while driving compliance, efficiency, and quality across operations. The ideal candidate should be proactive, efficient, and detail-oriented, with exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to cross-functional collaboration. A “first-time-right” mindset is essential for success in this position.

  • Drive project management and oversee multiple industrialization projects simultaneously.
  • Supervise prototype and 0-series production, collaborating with engineers and operators.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes for seamless transfer to series production.
  • Manage stakeholder communication across customers, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Ensure accuracy in all associated documentation in NPI stage.
  • Supervise work instructions creation and optimize production processes.
  • Verify and validate tools, materials, and machines during NPI.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful completion of projects.
  • Manage risk and quality compliance, ensuring adherence to customer and regulatory requirements.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics,Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Wire Harness or electronics manufacturing with industry.
  • Strong knowledge of industrialization processes, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in M365 and related engineering tools.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, Solidworks, SAP, FLx.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • LEAN, 5S & Kaizen mindset.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prior experience in NPI, process optimization, or production engineering is an advantage.
