Job Description

Metro PT is looking for a motivated, compassionate, forward-thinking  Assistant Clinical Director to support our Oceanside clinic. Under direct supervision of the Clinical Director, the Assistant Clinical Director is responsible for assisting the Clinical Director with leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of patient care and services that meet Metro expectations. 

 Essential Responsibilities 

  • Assists Clinical Director with leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of patient care and services that meet Metro expectations. 
  • Provides effective and coordinated leadership of patient care within specified clinical patient service areas. 
  • Assists Clinical Director with meeting the performance metrics and the fiscal oversight of allocated resources to optimize efficient and effective utilization. 
  • Assists Clinical Director with administrative support as needed. 
  • Provide oversight and assist in proper scheduling of non-clinical staff. 
  • Assist in providing clinical oversight in the event staff are on leave or vacant. 
  • Assists the Director in directing staff meetings and the development and delivery of training materials for all clinical staff 
  • Provides staff training and one-on-one meetings as instructed by the Director to personnel and ensures the implementation of Metro practices. 
  • Respond to patient inquiries and requests for actions, providing complete and timely information and reports to the Clinical Director when needed. 
  • Works with the Director to disseminate policy, protocol change, and ensure implementation across the clinical services and act as the point-person for the clinical information. 
  • Reviews Metrics with Clinical Director and assists in efficiency of the office. 
  • May be asked to assist with hiring, training, and developing staff assessments, monitor staff performance, schedules, productivity, and supervision. 
  • Review clinical documentation for completeness, accuracy, and consistency. 
  • In the absence of the Director, collaborate with management to ensure operational goals are met. 
  • Perform any other duties as needed and/or requested by Metro’s Management team. 

Qualifications

  • Physical Therapist Program Graduate. 
  • NY Physical Therapist License or eligible. 
  • Evaluates a patient's need for physical therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan. 
  • Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care. 
  • Instructs family members, PTA's, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate physical therapy techniques. 
  • Mandatory Certifications: First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $95,000.00-$105,000.00. Salary is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits are also available, subject to the terms of the Company's plan.
