Job Description

The Workday Compensation & HCM Support Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day support, configuration, and optimization of the Workday HCM system, with a primary emphasis on Compensation. This role partners closely with HR leadership and the Workday HCM Administrator to maintain data accuracy, ensure accurate compensation configuration and compliance, while supporting system enhancements and ongoing operational needs. Preferred Hybrid candidate local in Houston. 

Key Responsibilities

Workday Compensation Support

  • Serve as the primary Workday subject-matter expert for Compensation modules.
  • Configure and maintain compensation plans, grades, ranges, step plans, allowances, and incentives.
  • Support and audit compensation-related processes including, but not limited to, merit, promotions, market adjustments, and bonuses.
  • Translate business requirements into Workday solutions.

Workday HCM Support & Optimization

  • Provide functional support for Core HCM, Core Compensation, Advanced Compensation, and Reporting.
  • Serve as a point of contact for routine Workday support requests.
  • Assist employees and managers with Workday navigation and transactions.
  • Support testing activities for Workday releases, enhancements, and business process updates.
  • Develop and maintain end-user training materials and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot issues and implement timely solutions.
  • Escalate complex system issues and configuration requests to the Workday HCM Administrator.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Build and maintain compensation reports and dashboards.
  • Assist with internal audits, compliance reporting, and data validation activities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the Workday HCM Administrator and HR Leadership.
  • Contribute to HR projects, process improvements, and system implementations as assigned by the HR Supervisor or HR Leadership.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience.
  • 3+ years of Workday HCM experience with a strong Core Compensation and Advanced Compensation focus.
  • Experience supporting large annual merit and bonus cycles.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to be self-directed, take ownership of assigned tasks, and follow through to completion.
