upday started in 2015 as a joint project between Axel Springer and Samsung Electronics to redefine mobile news. And a lot has happened since then!

Today, over 150 media and tech professionals with 28 different nationalities contribute to upday's vision and shape how 25 million users consume news. • Analyze and present insights
• Share the responsibility of maintaining data accuracy and availability with data engineers
• Develop creative and relevant data visualizations to convey the company's trends and KPIs
• Communicate with stakeholders to work on Adhoc analysis

• Degree in computer science, information systems / business informatics, or economics / business administration in a graduate  /bachelors or masters program
• Good SQL knowledge
• Experienced in number crunching, information filtering, and preparing reports for different audiences
• Fluent in English
• Deep work experience in a german media, tech or In-App company

Good to Have:

• Data visualizations with Looker (alternatively Tableau, QlikView, MS PowerBI, etc.)
• Experience with statistical data analysis techniques (such as  regression, extrapolation, time series analysis, forecasting, and AB testing) is a plus
• Experience with any coding language (preferably Python or R)
