Position Summary

As an integral member of the Medical Imaging team you will perform various imaging procedures at University Health Network. The department features state-of-the-art digital technology and a team of innovative staff dedicated to patient care and superb image quality, backed by a commitment to continuing education and quality assurance program initiatives.

Duties

• Performs CT research procedures and digital quality assurance to support clinical trials
• Communicates with team members and management personnel
• Participates in professional development, teaching and educational activities, and mentoring
• Reviews research protocols involving CT activities
• Perform other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate the provision of optimal patient care 
• Understand and follow Hospital and departmental Research policies and procedures to improve technical quality 

• Registration with the CMRITO
• Previous General Imaging experience
• Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification
• One (1) year recent experience in related area of responsibility
• Current experience (within the last 5 years) in computed tomography
• Ability to demonstrate sensitivity towards patients in a challenging situation
• Demonstrated strong technical skills and image quality
• Knowledge of basic anatomy and pathology
• Effective time management skills, ability to organize work, and set priorities
• Ability to work accurately under stressful conditions
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a supportive team environment
• Excellent problem solving and recognition skills
• Commitment to continuing education
• Excellent teaching skills
• Demonstrated good work performance and attendance history
• Effective computer skills
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Previous Level 3 CT experience or willing to be trained up to a Level 3 CT, preferred
• Membership with the CAMRT, preferred
• Completion of certified injection course, preferred
• Currently enrolled in the CTIC offered by the CAMRT, preferred
