As a Scaffolding Business Development Manager, you will develop and grow this new business segment initially and subsequently develop it across your responsible area. The role will work closely with sales, engineering and product development teams.

Job Description

  • Supports the creation and execution of the construction scaffolding strategy for the country
  • Developes the awareness & the mindset for the new Doka business area scaffolding 
  • Drives the strategic target setting for the construction scaffolding segment together with the Managing Director and the local sales team
  • Builds up a network within the country of relevant stakeholders and construction contacts
  • Screens business potentials by analyzing the market with the focus on different customer groups (existing and new) as well as projects
  • Ensures the whole sales process for construction scaffolding:
    • Coordinates pre-qualification processes to approach potential clients, express interest of bidding and ensure the successful pre-qualification of the company
    • Reviews necessary requirements to work in specific projects (approvals/permits/licenses) and works on their fulfillment
    • Wins new business by coordinating requirements as well as developing and negotiating contracts
    • Communicates intensively with clients, consultants and project managers
    • Creates added value propositions and presentations for internal and client use together with the Scaffolding Manager of the Area Europe
    • Follows up on the project pipeline and plan customer visits
  • Accompanies existing sales staff in the sales process (consulting as well as customer visits) and ensures identification of scaffolding opportunities in existing customer/project environment
  • Drives scaffolding marketing initiatives in the country in cooperation with the country and Area Management Team
  • Manages internal and external training activities

Qualifications

  • Intensive sales and business development experience in the scaffolding sector in the country
  • Technical/Civil Engineering Qualification
  • profound knowledge of construction scaffolding systems and standards ( including the ring-lock system)
  • On-site scaffolding experience
  • Relationship network to potential scaffolding clients and other key stakeholders in the construction scaffolding segment
