You’ll lead the mobilisation of work packages between UK Fusion Energy Ltd and UKAEA, taking requests from initial demand through to formal agreement and delivery. Working across technical, commercial, finance, procurement and project teams, you’ll ensure each package has a clear scope, schedule, budget and governance arrangements. You’ll also oversee the wider pipeline, lead junior team members and deputise for the Fusion Partner Office Manager when required.

  • Guide work packages through the appropriate governance and approval processes.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies and resource constraints affecting mobilisation.
  • Maintain oversight of the work package pipeline and provide reporting and analysis to senior stakeholders.
  • Monitor performance against agreed mobilisation and delivery measures, improving processes where required.
  • Line manage and develop junior team members and deputise for the Fusion Partner Office Manager.

What You’ll Bring

  • A proven track record in project or programme coordination, mobilisation and delivery.
  • A background in bid, tender or work-winning management, including coordinating technical and operational submissions.
  • Previous responsibility for delivering complex programmes or initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of portfolio management, project management offices or project controls environments.
  • An understanding of contract management, commercial processes, governance and contractual obligations.
  • Demonstrable success in building productive working relationships across organisational boundaries.
