Job Description
The US Communications Specialist will help develop and execute communications programs that build awareness and excitement for Ubisoft games, brands, and initiatives across the U.S. market. Working closely with the US Communications team, Global Communications teams, external agencies, and cross-functional partners, the US Communications Specialist will support multiple campaigns across Ubisoft’s portfolio, from major announcements and launches to previews, live-service updates, and industry events. This role leverages knowledge across the video game industry and gaming media landscape, with hands-on communications and/or PR experience to speak to others about Ubisoft games, identify compelling stories, build media relationships, and keep complex campaigns organized and moving.

- Manage day-to-day communications workstreams for assigned titles with guidance from senior team members.
- Understand each game, its audience and competitive landscape to identify the most relevant stories and media opportunities.
- Coordinate campaign activity with global communications teams, marketing, social, community, creator and other cross-functional partners.
Relationship Building
- Develop and maintain relationships with gaming media, along with relevant contacts across technology, entertainment, lifestyle and mainstream media.
- Conduct proactive outreach to secure coverage, interviews, previews, reviews and other editorial opportunities.
- Understand the interests, audiences and coverage priorities of key gaming outlets and journalists.
- Identify emerging publications, independent media, podcasts, creators and other voices influencing gaming audiences.
- Maintain accurate media lists and track outreach, feedback and opportunities.
Event Management
- Coordinate press participation in virtual and in-person previews, industry events, studio visits and other media experiences.
- Manage invitations, RSVPs, scheduling, assets, briefing materials and event logistics.
- Staff media events and support Ubisoft spokespeople and attending journalists.
- Stay current on major gaming events, industry moments and editorial calendars that could create opportunities for Ubisoft.
Compelling Stories
- Proactively identify media opportunities, story ideas and campaign needs, bringing recommendations to the team rather than waiting for direction.
- Monitor gaming news, industry trends, player conversations and broader cultural moments to identify opportunities for Ubisoft titles.
- Help develop story angles that resonate with both core gaming audiences and audiences beyond traditional games media.
- Bring informed ideas and recommendations to the team based on knowledge of games, competitors and the broader industry.
- Work with agency partners to develop and execute creative communications programs.
Reporting and Insights
- Track coverage, sentiment and campaign results across assigned projects.
- Help prepare campaign recaps, leadership updates and regular reporting.
- Surface important media feedback, emerging narratives and potential issues.
- Use communications tools and technologies to improve research, media targeting, reporting and team efficiency.
Operations & Administration
- Manage communications calendars, trackers, distribution lists, campaign documents and other team operational needs.
- Support purchase orders, contracts, vendor setup, agency onboarding, scopes of work and related administrative processes.
