Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced Cost Managers (CSA or MEP) to join a project team delivering large-scale advanced manufacturing facilities. This role offers the opportunity to work on technically complex, fast-paced developments within one of the world's fastest-growing sectors.

Whether your expertise lies in Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) works or Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) systems, you will play a key role in managing project costs, supporting procurement strategies, and ensuring commercial excellence from design through construction and project close-out.


Key Responsibilities

Cost Planning & Budget Management

  • Prepare and manage cost plans, estimates, budgets, and forecasts across all project stages.
  • Monitor project costs and provide commercial advice to support key project decisions.
  • Support value engineering initiatives and cost optimization exercises.

Procurement & Tendering

  • Manage tendering activities including tender analysis, commercial evaluations, and contractor recommendations.
  • Support procurement strategies for major CSA or MEP trade packages.
  • Participate in contractor negotiations and contract awards.

Contract Administration

  • Manage contract administration activities including variations, change orders, and contractor claims.
  • Review and assess contractor payment applications.
  • Support final account negotiations and project close-out processes.

Cost Control & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial updates.
  • Track project expenditure against approved budgets.
  • Identify commercial risks, cost trends, and mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide commercial input throughout project delivery.
  • Support collaboration between design, procurement, and construction teams.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience

  • 5–10 years of cost management experience within construction projects.
  • Strong experience in either:
    • CSA packages (structure, architectural, façade, fit-out, building envelope), or
    • MEP packages (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, building services).
  • Experience in advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, technology, industrial, data centre, or mission-critical projects is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience with a cost consultancy, project management consultancy, contractor, or client-side organization is advantageous.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of pre-contract and post-contract cost management.
  • Experience in procurement, cost reporting, and contract administration.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
