Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile individual to join our team as a QA Tester and Documentation Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products through comprehensive testing procedures, as well as creating detailed product documentation and writing acceptance criteria. As a QA Tester and Documentation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and functionality, while also providing clear and concise documentation for end-users and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Assurance Testing:

    • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to identify software defects and ensure product quality.
    • Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing to verify system behavior and performance.
    • Collaborate closely with software developers and project stakeholders to understand product requirements and identify potential issues.
    • Report and track bugs using appropriate bug tracking tools, and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
    • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  2. Product Documentation:

    • Create and maintain clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation, including user guides, installation guides, release notes, and API documentation.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure documentation aligns with product features and functionality.
    • Conduct research and gather technical details to produce comprehensive and understandable documentation for both technical and non-technical users.
    • Ensure documentation is up-to-date with product updates and releases.
  3. Acceptance Criteria:

    • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and developers to define clear and concise acceptance criteria for user stories and features.
    • Translate business requirements into testable scenarios and acceptance criteria to ensure effective testing coverage.
    • Participate in grooming sessions and sprint planning meetings to provide insights and recommendations regarding acceptance criteria and testability.
  4. Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, designers, and other QA team members, to promote effective communication and collaboration.
    • Provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and documentation status to stakeholders and team members.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process and documentation standards within the organization.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a QA Tester or similar role, including experience in manual and automated testing.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and quality assurance processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in writing clear and concise technical documentation and user guides.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in an iterative development environment.
  • Experience in writing acceptance criteria and user stories.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with test management tools, bug tracking systems, and test automation tools is a plus.
