This role assists with providing multicultural and diverse training and technical assistance to local communities to address and prevent mental and substance use disorders. The position provides assistance in community program infrastructure development, community capacity building, and training/technical assistance program planning and implementation. Washington D.C. local candidates are preferred.

• Assist with providing multicultural and diverse training and technical assistance for local communities.
• Help manage community program infrastructure development, community capacity building, and training/technical assistance program planning and implementation.
• Work alongside Senior Trainer with SAMHSA grantees to provide community input.
• Aid Senior Trainer in understanding and leveraging community resources through collaboration.
• Assist communities in developing and using community-driven/culturally tailored evidence-based practices and interventions.
• Help promote positive health behaviors and activities for local communities and families.
• These technical resources and trainings will be provided through national and regional trainings, learning communities, onsite and virtual technical assistance, production and dissemination of resources, and community engagement.

Required Skills: 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Behavioral Health, Social Sciences, Public Health, or a related field 
• 3 years of experience in a professional role or a related field of mental, behavioral, public health, or substance abuse.
• Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, MS Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability work in a multi-cultural and diverse environment.
