Sales Account Executive

  • Contract

Company Description

We brew our planet-saving beer with surplus fresh bread. All our profits go to charities fixing the food system. Our food system is the biggest contributor to climate change and biodiversity loss, but one third of all food is wasted. We're here to change that.

We’re listed in national retailers (Waitrose, Ocado, Co-Op), restaurants such as Wahaca and Neat Burger, and many independent stockists. We’ve had global press coverage, won multiple awards (including the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development) and spoken at events all over the world.

We’re a social enterprise, Certified B Corp (which means a responsibility to care for our employees is written into our Articles), and a top rated company in Escape the City’s Top 100 companies.

Our office is located in a great Central London location. You will need to be based around London but we are flexible about working practices so there is an opportunity to also work from home when appropriate.

Job Description

We’re looking for an Account Executive to support our trade customers. You’ll be focused on delivering excellent customer service (buttering!) and after-sales support.

  • Visits to Toast trade customers to show them support, and, if appropriate, to upsell additional SKUs. This will include liaising with the customer to plan your schedule (optimised to see as many customers in the same geographic area as possible, and to ensure key accounts are visited on a regular basis). Accounts will be primarily in London, though travel to locations such as Brighton may be required).

  • Brand and marketing support for trade customers. This will include ensuring relevant POS materials are supplied to our customers and they are used effectively in their space. We also ask that you capture images and video for Toast to share on our channels, and work with our Marketing team to communicate events etc..

  • Training for trade customers. This will include talking to teams about Toast’s mission and delivering tastings of our range.

  • Sampling event support. This will include running in-store (or event) consumer-focussed samplings for our trade accounts.

  • Organising training or sampling sessions for others if needed to be outside of your working hours.

  • Maintaining our CRM system records. This includes capturing details of your contact with customers and updating their contact information as required.

Qualifications

We need someone who is:

  • Self motivated and has a positive attitude - you get stuff done.

  • Organised - you’re good at managing your time.

  • Great with people and has experience in customer-facing roles - you’re passionate about excellent customer service.

  • Good knowledge of bars, pubs, restaurants and bottle shops in London -  you know where we need to be.

  • Passionate about our environmental mission and enjoy beer - you love the idea of using beer to help save the planet.

  • Eligible to work in the UK

It would be an added bonus, but not essential, if you have:

  • Previous experience in hospitality

  • Previous experience within a challenger food and drink brand
