Role: Senior Platform Engineer
Duration: 6+ Months
Location: New Jersey (Hybrid)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with 14+ years of experience in DevOps/DevSecOps and platform engineering to design, build, and automate enterprise container and middleware platforms. The role involves architecting scalable solutions, supporting Kubernetes environments, and driving automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable and highly available platform solutions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
• Manage Kubernetes platforms (OpenShift preferred; EKS/AKS/GKE acceptable).
• Implement and manage Service Mesh technologies such as Istio.
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform (IaC).
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for platform reliability.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement DevSecOps practices.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and mentor junior engineers.

Required Skills:

• 14+ years of IT experience in Platform Engineering / DevOps.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and containers (Docker/Podman).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Istio Service Mesh.
• Experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
• Cloud experience with AWS (preferred) or Azure.
• Scripting skills (Shell, Python, Groovy, or PowerShell).
• Strong experience with Linux environments and networking concepts.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with IBM Event Streams, IBM MQ, or IBM App Connect.
• Knowledge of IBM CloudPak or WebSphere products.
