Company Description

The Ward Law Group is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorney to join its growing team in New York City. This attorney will handle motor vehicle liability and general personal injury litigation representing plaintiffs in New York.

The role is focused exclusively on litigation, including trial preparation and trial.

Our compensation package includes a base salary, non-recoverable draw, commission/bonus structure, and full benefits.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Litigation & Trial Work: Handle cases through all stages of litigation, including trial preparation and trial
  • Case Management: Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal memoranda
  • Depositions & Hearings: Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials
  • Expert Coordination: Work with expert witnesses, prepare reports and affidavits, and support trial testimony
  • Client Representation: Guide clients throughout the litigation process
  • Case Types: Handle matters including motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, negligent security, wrongful death, dog bites, and other personal injury claims

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar
  • 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience preferred
  • Proven trial experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage high-volume litigation caseloads
  • Strong client service and communication skills
  • Self-starter with strong litigation and courtroom skills
  • Superior writing and oral advocacy abilities
