Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
Great internal communications don't happen by accident. They rely on excellent coordination, strong relationships, attention to detail, and people who love bringing order to moving parts.
We're looking for an organised and proactive Internal Communications Coordinator to join the University of Auckland's Communications team. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting the delivery of internal communications that connect thousands of staff across the University.
From coordinating newsletters and maintaining communication schedules to managing publishing workflows and supporting stakeholder requests, you'll help ensure internal communications are delivered efficiently, accurately and on time.

Key areas of focus:
Coordinating internal communications requests, workflows and delivery schedules.
Writing, editing and production of internal newsletters, email and intranet updates, and communications campaigns.
Managing content calendars to ensure a steady stream of stories that support our organisational objectives.
Working closely with stakeholders across the University to support effective communication delivery.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity. The full salary range for this role is $63,600 - $86,100
We have a structured salary framework with three zones for those developing into the role (developing), fully effective (target) and contributing beyond what is expected of the role (upper). Appointments are typically made within the target range of $68,101 – $79,300 per annum, depending on skills, experience, and internal equity. We welcome conversations about your expectations and what matters to you in your overall package. Any offer will be made within the advertised range and guided by fairness, consistency, and our commitment to pay equity.

kōrero mōu | About you
Whether your background is in communications, administration, coordination, or digital content, you'll bring a service-focused approach and a passion for delivering great outcomes.
We're particularly interested in people who bring:
Experience supporting internal communications, content publishing, social media, or similar activities within a large organisation.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Confidence working with digital tools and platforms, including Microsoft 365, content management systems, intranet platforms, or email communication tools and a willingness to learn new tools, systems, and processes.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Curiosity and a proactive, adaptable approach.
