JOB TITLE: Support Worker
SALARY & BENEFITS: £17,076.54 rising to £17,576.54 p/a after 6 months
Excellent programme of continuous training and development
WORKING HOURS: Full / Part Time hours
THE COMPANY: Our client is a vibrant Supported Living service in Northwich for D/deaf adults with learning difficulties and/or challenging behaviour. They have exciting opportunities available for professional Support Workers to join their team.

THE ROLE: For the role of the Support Worker you will ensure the delivery of a quality service for all Tenants and other occupants within DSN Supported Living Services.
Key Responsibilities for the Support Worker role to include:-
• Work alongside Tenants in the preparation of meals, cleaning, shopping and other activities. Some Tenants may require assistance with personal care/hygiene.
• Support and guide the Tenants to take responsibility for as many of the tasks as possible for themselves.
• Enable Tenants to be part of community life by using local facilities and services in the area
• Enable Tenants to take responsibility of day-to- day tasks and encourage them to be as independent as possible
THE CANDIDATE: For the role of Support Worker you will be able to demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to caring. You will have the ability to work unsupervised at times and as part of a team. You must have excellent and clear communication skills.
Key experience essential for the role of Support Worker-
• Either be qualified or prepared to achieve British Sign Language Level 2 & NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care within 2 years of employment.
• Previous experience of working in a care or supported living environment
• Flexibility around working hours
• You will need to live within a commutable distance to Northwich
