Sr. Network Engineer

The perfect candidate has that "roll up your sleeves" and get it done mentality. Is technically sound and understands and has full familiarity with networks, WAN, infrastructure and security. Is NOT a heads down person, rather an engaged, and easy to talk to type. You have to be comfortable working with management on a regular basis and able to communicate effectively. Experience working with teams, managing projects and vendors is what you will do. Less technical implementation, more oversight and managing with "doing" as required.

Designing and leading several major Network projects such as migration to Cisco based SDWAN (Viptela),

Migration from on-premise phone system to phone as a service, design network segmentation (both physical and logical), identify and remediate bottlenecks in current Network architecture. Review current iOS on all Cisco, Palo Alto, Riverbed. Aruba ClearpPass systems and design upgrade plans, including version scrubbing, upgrade paths and implementation.

Oversee multiple vendors for projects and daily operations

Must follow strict documentation and change control procedures.

Re-design current IPS/IDS systems and develop implementation plan.

Skills Required

7+ years as a senior Network planning, design, troubleshooting and remediation / engineering.

2+ years in designing SDWAN networks

5+ years experience in Network security

Must have experience with Cisco 9k Switches

Must be able to oversee multiple vendors

Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must have experience working with and interfacing with management on a regul;ar basis.

Qualifications

Cisco CCIE / CCDE certifications or equivalent experience.

Project Management experience a must
