Job Description

  


  • Perform ongoing security procedures, including review of patch compliance, configuration management, firewall activity and other system logs, vulnerability (anti-virus, software/firmware patch) management periodic system intrusion testing and investigation of exception conditions working alongside of the Information Security department.
  • Maintain, configure and support Cisco Intrusion Detection System (IDS) as well as IronPort security appliances  
  • Monitor and report on compliance with security policies as well as the enforcement of policies 
  • Implement controls and configurations aligned with security policies and legal, regulatory and audit requirements   
  • Participate in root cause analysis of critical events for improving preventative and reactive processes   
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management   
  • Must meet performance standards including attendance and punctuality

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science; or equivalent years of experience required

  • Minimum four (4) years information security experience required
  • Knowledge of Eligibility System Modules
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification or other information security certifications preferred
  • Experience with common information security management frameworks, such as International Standards Organization (ISO) 2700x, the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Control Objectives for Information and Related
    Technology (COBIT)
  • Experience working with SolarWinds System, Network Management tools, network technologies and related segmentation strategies, and patch management (Microsoft Windows, Linux, applications)
  • Knowledge of Symantec or similar anti-virus platform
  • Experience with firewall platforms, review associated logs, and system intrusion testing techniques
  • Experience with HIPAA and PCI compliance preferred
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and must be detailed oriented
